Cape Town, 4th August 2023 – The South African Sommeliers Association (SASA) is thrilled to announce that one of its esteemed members, Sharrol Mukendi Klass, has been accepted to the prestigious ASI Sommelier Bootcamp Americas. The intensive training camp is scheduled to take place from October 29th to November 1st, 2023, in the beautiful city of Quito, Ecuador.
Designed as a transformative experience for sommeliers seeking to reach new heights in their careers, the ASI Bootcamp Americas offers a three-day marathon of masterclasses and blind tastings, led by the world's leading experts, including the Best Sommeliers of the World, Masters of Wine, and Master Sommeliers. Among the illustrious instructors are Sören Polonius, Marc Almert, Pascaline Lepeltier, Michelle Bouffard, Veronique Rivest, Andreas Matthidis, Emily Wines, and Nathan Keffer.
Only 48 sommeliers from around the globe have the privilege of participating in this exclusive event. The bootcamp opens its doors to 36 sommeliers from ASI's Americas region and reserves the remaining 12 spots for international applicants.
